Nendoroid News: Good Smile Company Newsletter 2015.09.25

Welcome to the (supposed) bi-weekly feature, Nendoroid News! Weekly, I get newsletters from the official Nendoroid store, Good Smile Company. It seems there’s not really a news blog for strictly Nendoroid updates other than upcoming figures or other scaled goods. This will (try) to be updated every other Tuesday so please look out for it.

Please note that this segment will focus on Nendoroids, whether petite, regular, plus, or co-ode, if it has Nendoroid that prefixes it, that means it’s going to be posted here (unless there’s just not enough news to cover it).

Wonder Festival 2015 (Winter) Nendoroid Wishlist!

Finally, it’s that time~!

For those of you who don’t know, Wonderfest is a bi-annual event that’s held in Chiba, Japan. There’s one in the winter and there’s one in the summer. Usually, this event is to show off the upcoming figures, toys, or “garage kits” made by companies like Good Smile Company, Phat, and many others for potential customers to buy.

Naturally, since I’m more interested in nendoroids more than anything, this year I turned to the My Figure Collection’s usermade list about the upcoming nendoroids this season (thank you for the all the hard work)!

Of course, I’m going to pick and choose nendoroids I personally want most this year but there’s actually a slight change to this year’s wishlist. You’ll see why when it comes…

12 Days of Anime: One Shitty Adaption on My Computer Screen

Something always bothered me about the new DRAMAtical Murder anime that came out this summer and it might have to do with a few

problems with the

animation, including the infamous third episode of it. Don’t get me wrong the animation was terribly hilarious and was great for a laugh.

But it really made me realize something about myself: I really do hate shitty adaptions, especially from games or manga I really enjoy. My save file for DRAMAtical Murder is somewhere in the HD when the Great Crash of 2014 happened and I do anticipate on finishing both games one day (including the random doujinshi game I found on the Aarin Fantasy Forums).

But the anime version of the popular game was too much for me to handle, even after the bumbling mistake of the legendary episode three. For a good while, I checked out of the anime (mostly due to the Great Crash) and it’s still in my Crunchy Roll queue. Oh, but don’t worry, friends. I’ll still watch it. I’ll trudge through it just as I trudged through the Dangan Ronpa adaptation. Just not now.

And I think, as devoted as I am to Sailor Moon, it’s hard to watch it because it’s a shitty adaption (unless I manage to get Blu-Rays). I realize that not every adaption is going to look pristine and nice with some flubs here and there.  And I realize not every adaptation is going to mangled and messed up.

On the whole, unless I really like the franchise and am willing to deal with it (or if it’s recommended by friends), I’m most likely going to try to avoid it as much as I can.

Now let’s gather around and start spreading some Christmas cheer.

Review: Aoba Seragaki & Ren from DRAMAtical Murder

Here’s the review that, hopefully, you’ve all been waiting for! Aoba & Ren’s review~! I do have apologize, though, beforehand because my camera’s flash is a little awkward. Sometimes the flash is fine but other times, the flash drowns out the little details I want to point out.

If there is a need for additional pictures, feel free to ask and I will do my best! Although, I’m sure these pictures should be suffice enough for it.

Now, let’s get this started~!
